The Remember My Journey Map Search is a powerful tool for searching for deceased by Last Name, First Name, Middle Name, Year of Birth, Year of Death and it even allows you to search for Trees and Landmarks. This powerful tool has been converted into a kiosk version and specially formatted for touch screen or kiosk devices. This How to Guide will walk you through the basics of using the RMJ Kiosk Software. If you are setting up your kiosk for the first time and require additional assistance, please contact webCemeteries at support@webcemeteries.com or 1-800-653-7049.
Step 1
While standing in front of the cemetery's kiosk, touch the "Search Records" portion of the screen and start typing. There are multiple ways to search for a deceased person, but the easiest way to search is by entering a last name and first initial, or a full first and last name for the person you are looking for. You can also search by birth year or death year by putting "born:" or "died:" before your search.
Step 2
Hit "Enter" on the keyboard or touch the magnifying glass icon to start searching.
Step 3
Pins and a list of search results will appear. Yellow clusters on the map depict a high concentration of deceased in a small area and prevent the map from being cluttered with pins.
Step 4
Tap on a pin or tap on a search result on the screen to view more information.
Step 5
From here, you can view the memorial pages by clicking on the "View Memories" button, you can print this page if your kiosk has a printer and you can share walking directions via email.
Step 6
If you click "View Memories" this will bring you to a read only view of the RMJ memorial pages.
Step 7
To go back to the search page, simply click the white back arrow in the top left corner of the page.
